Camilla and Lee

I always thought buying a wedding dress would be tricky, especially as I don’t often wear dresses. However, I was quite lucky that my sister, Chloe, had been keeping an eye on my Pinterest board and had spotted Limor Rosen designs saved several times. That is how I came across the wonderful team at Luella's - the shop stocked the designer and was also located nearby in South London, mix that in with a beautiful website and my appointment was booked. I was really drawn to the classic but simplistic shape of Limor Rosen's dressed but the intricate detail that just gave it an unrivalled elegance. I think it would be fair to stay that the wedding style evolved from the dress, and turned more and more vintage with each accessory that I added. Philippa was so helpful and made my first visit so memorable, my mum and sister joined me and instantly we just knew that the Lillian dress was the one for me. I always looked forward to each of my shop visits and I must say Charlotte the seamstress worked her magic to make the dress fit me like a glove!
Lee and I got married on the 4 February at Dulwich College, with a reception at the Rosendale Pub, this was very near to our house which just made the whole planning experience seamless, we used a local florist and suppliers who had worked the venues several times which allowed us to have more time to focus on personalisation and the crafty side of things.
Our favourite part of the wedding day would have to be the big party at the end, we were very lucky to have a talented band who have performed at Glastonbury several times and DJ that just knew how to keep the crowd happy. It was so much fun and really overwhelming to see all of our mutual friends and friends from both our pasts just partying together all night, the dance floor was always full, we had to be kicked out after going an hour longer than planned. The groom, Lee, grabbed me half way through the night and we stood at the back of the room and just watched the party unfold, we took a moment to appreciate just how lucky we were to have all these people in our lives, it was a moment we will keep forever.
