How did you hear about Luella’s when you were engaged?
I read about Luella’s in the Time Out guide for weddings and they recommended Luella’s. I particularly liked the fact that it was a vintage shop and that it sold more than just dresses.
What items did you get for your big day from Luella’s Boudoir?
I got my dress, the Lee-or dress by Limor Rosen, a belt and a small hair comb.
What did you enjoy most about your Luella’s experience?
The whole experience at Luella’s Was very professional from start to finish and the girls were really friendly and easy to work with. They also had an amazing range of wedding dresses- I think I tried on about 25 during my first consultation!
What was your favourite part of your big day?
We don’t have a favourite part of the day- it was all so special and there was always something exciting coming next! So in the chapel we had a professional welsh male voice choir ‘Eschoir’ singing who were spine-tingling, then the food at Ealing Park Tavern where we had our reception was just amazing; lobster tails and Beef Wellington followed by a Mississipi mud pie, then we finished the night with a ‘one night only’ performance of James on the guitar and vocals and me on the drums (newly learnt!) singing Ed Sheeran’s Thinking out loud. We’d practiced Bon Jovi’s Living on a prayer as an encore and it was amazing when all our family and friends joined in with us! We felt like rock stars!
What do you love about being married?
Being married hasn’t changed much in our day to day lives, but there’s a subtle difference; now we know it’s for keeps and that’s a lovely feeling.
Do you have any other tips, advice, memories?
The only tip we have is one that everyone told us; try not to get bogged down in the detail on the day. Just enjoy and savour every moment, it’ll be gone before you know it!
