Celebrating the Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Posted on 25 April 2018
Its less than a month to go until the fairy tale wedding of the year when Meghan Markle will walk down the aisle with our favourite Royal Prince, Harry and we are extremely excited at Luella's HQ. Of course we are interested in all the aspects of their wedding including, the beautiful flowers, the wedding cake, which celebrity guests will make the invite list, but the thing that has got us really excited, is trying to work out what she will be wearing on the day. There has been a huge amount of speculation about who is going to be designing her dress with everyone from Elie Saab to Ralph & Russo to Erdem to Oscar de la Renta being suggested as her perfect choice and we have to confess that we don't have a clue who it is, but we do have a few thoughts on what she might wear, and we thought it might be fun to have a look at our own collections and see whether we think there is something close to the style that she might choose.
Our first choice is something simple an elegant with a bit of detailing. Meghan has an amazing figure so she could definitely pull off something a little bit figure hugging so we think something like our Isla dress would be a perfect choice.
Our second choice is a more of a princess style, with a fuller skirt and gorgeous long train that would be fit for any royal wedding. This would be more of a statement dress and although it is made from lace, which we have seen as a feature on many royal wedding dresses, it is not a traditional style lace.
Our third style is another contemporary style dress. This sheer, high neck, sleeveless design, is made from exquisite lace over a nude tulle which really makes the lace stand out. This is also quite a slim fitting design which once again would make the most of Meghan's petite figure.
Last but by no means least we are going to dare to suggest that she might choose something similar to Princess Catherine's design and we think our Nieve dress would be the perfect choice. The skirt on our dress is made from a soft flowing tulle which would mean that the skirt would not be too over powering for her and we think she would suit the boat style neckline of this beautiful design.
